The Story Launch Media 5-Week writing classes will focus on how to identify your story and write it to hold the readers attention. You'll learn how to powerfully speak your story by practicing reading or performing it without notes in front of your fellow students. There will always be a live event within one week of the completion of the 5-week class for students to read or perform their story in front of family, friends and strangers.
The Story Launch Media Tell It Live workshop will provide dynamic guidance on how to tell a story powerfully, keeping the audience engaged - and at best on the edge of their seats!
These workshops will coincide with the 5-Week writing classes so that people who already have their story but want to learn to speak it without reading it can attend the workshop.
There will always be a live event within one week of the completion of the 5-Week class and the Tell It Live workshop for students to read or perform their story in front of family, friends and strangers.
The Story Launch Media Saunter & Prose class is a 2.5 hour saunter through Seattle's Arboretum. Students will learn the basics of how to write prose, become inspired by prose written by outdoor adventurers, before sauntering through the Arboretum with Kris Parfitt Travers.
This guided tour will take students on beautiful trails past towering conifers, lush green ground-cover and vibrant blooms. Kris will share the story of these gardens and forests and students will have the opportunity to write a bit of prose at all three stops.
The final pause will provide all students to share one of the pieces they wrote during the class.
The Story Launch Media Speak Your Story workshop is designed for women who speak for their business or for a living, or even just once, to craft their presentations using the power of story to center the topic of the speech. Kris Parfitt Travers will work with each woman one-on-one to ensure they are ready to launch publicly!
